It finally happened! Migalski ventured out into the unknown for her first Winter holiday ever! I’m talking full-fledged, bonafide ski trip to Chamonix. Together with my boyfriend (who will be refered to Personal Ski Trainer from now on) and twelve friends I got on ski lifts, slide off of mountains and had the best first Ski holiday I could’ve asked for. Of course I had to dress the part and that proved to be a little less easy than I thought, because ski trips require very particular packing. Being a snow holiday newbie, my closet wasn’t filled with cute ski jackets and warm thermal layers. The perfect reason to go and do some shopping damage, right? I’ve captured my outfits and tips for packing in this post, so have a read!

A cute jumper is a must-have, especially for the après-ski part of your day! I came across this colorblocked version, a perfect fit for a ski trip in France. The fact that this sweater has “Enchanté” printed on it will also work well off-piste, if you’re looking to introduce yourself to that hot snowboarder. You’re welcome.

I was lucky enough to get to borrow this très cool Napapijri ski jacket in black and bright yellow, which came in very handy when I suddenly found myself in the middle of a bonafide snow storm. Oh god, come to think of it, there were so many times I was super scared on top of that mountain! My personal ski teacher guided me down in all calmness, the outfit added a little bit of much needed coolness. Find the jacket here.

Good base layers are key when it comes to skiing down the slopes in style and comfort. For this part I completely relied on Falke, the ultimate brand for underlayers, socks and to my surprise, very lovely sweaters as well! The cream sweater I am wearing with my silver outfit is Falke and is a cashmere blend with turtle neck and extra long sleeves, the perfect thing to snuggle in! We headed down to Verbier, Switzerland, for some extra powder, and I did so in my total Colmar outfit: silver trousers and a silver ski jacket to match. Find them here.
