Dressing up in your most fancy attire to attend a muddy and sweaty festival might not be the most logical thing to do, but it sure is fun! Even though I completely understand people who wear ratty t-shirts and worn-off plimsolls to the middle of the mosh pit, I myself like to put some thought into my sartorial choices. The open-mindedness of the average festival attendee and the pleasant temperatures make the perfect combination for some sartorial outside-of-the-box thinking.
This Saturday I’ll be dancing my boots off at XO Live!/Extrema Outdoor in The Netherlands. This dance festival also declares the opening of my own personal festival season. Yee-haa. My festival-proof wardrobe contains a pair of sturdy boots (I prefer a closed shoe over a slipper or sandal, as I like my toes the way they are now – unbroken), sunnies (an out-there pair of shades make even the simplest tanktop/shorts-combi interesting) and a cross-body bag (unlikely to get lost while headbanging/crowdsurfing). Below are three of my favourite combinations when talking add-on’s. Everything’s from Sacha, undeniably the place to be for affordable festi-fash.
Anyone else going to XO Live this weekend? I’ll be scouring the fields in search of the best-dressed festival attendee. The person who catches my attention the most gets a Sacha voucher to spend in their online shop. So get out your dancing shoes and join me in the festival fun!
