The word HEATWAVE might sound deliciously enticing when you hear it, but things aren’t all fun and games when you’re in the middle of one – stuck inside an excruciatingly hot city appartment, having to work from 9 to 5 and without pool or AC. It has been so hot the past week that I cold-showered every 20 minutes, slept for about 2 hours a night, saw my neighbours pretty much naked and seriously contemplated moving to the North pole. Luckily we drove to my dad’s place this weekend to float in the pool – thank god for this much-needed cooling off!

Rising temperatures are always fun in summer, bc pool parties, BBQs and cute swimwear, but it ain’t easy coming up with decent, work-appropriate outfits in +35°c. The only garments I could stand to wear were flowy maxi skirts, breezy tops and dresses like this one. I love myself a good white dress, and when this one crossed my path at Zara, I had to have it.
