Outfit du jour: this long coat/short shorts/tall boots combo. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably scrolled past thousands of similar outfits like this on Pinterest. I have a board dedicated to over-the-knee boot combinations, and I’m always pinning new inspiration on it. So when I came across these gorgeous suede over the knee boots by Paco Gil on the Sacha webshop, I had to have them. They are basically all I’m looking for in an OTK: the perfect length, real suede, a block heel and a slightly sharp tip.

Upon receiving them I immediately wore them for a night out – and they passed the test. What I did not expect however was how hard I would find it to style them in an everyday look. The chunky sweater + lace shorts combo popped up into my head instantly, but I started doubting my sartorial choice when walking down the street. Wearing overknees means having people awkwardly stare at you while passing them – something I can handle but don’t actively want to stimulate. What are your experiences with wearing over-the-knee boots – do you find that people stare more?
