Okay okay, these pics were obviously taken right after one of many April showers, but that doesn’t take away the fact that I’m looonging for summer and slowly am preparing myself and my wardrobe for the hottest season of ’em all. How one does that, you ask? In three simple steps!

1. Florals! Miranda Priestly already said it, not quite groundbreaking for spring or summer, but with the revival of Gucci and its precious floral patterns everywhere, I’m totally team botanical! I prefer abstract floral prints over ditsy patterns in full bloom, though.
2. Suede leather! How gorgeous is this dusty pink suede leather biker jacket from MbyM? It’s the softest and would look good thrown on top of many cotton summer dresses. It is a small investment, but a jacket like this will stay with you even when seasons change.
