Going Places: Crete

Hi guys! Back at it again with a brand new Going Places post. This time I’m reporting from the lovely island of Crete, Greece. I was kindly invited to discover this enchanting island on behalf of Coca Cola, which I’m currently a proud ambassador for. The summer is literally filled with awesome projects and events, and this trip is one of them.

I have very fond memories of Greece, as it was the place we visited with the family numerous times back in the day. We used to go to different spots in Greece and vacation there for two weeks straight, with my dad driving us to the most magical places and deserted beaches – the best thing about it all is that he’s a photographer, and went totally crazy on the analogue shots back then. If only I had my blog in the late 90’s 😉 I’d never been to Crete though, so this was a very exciting opportunity to discover this particular Greek island. And I must say it most certainly did not disappoint! We landed on Chania but took a cab to the village of Rhetimnon, a cute harbor village that reminds of Venice if you will. Its dainty little streets, colorful houses and breathtaking views over the ocean are a true delight, and I would recommend visiting the area if you’re in need of a relaxing yet budget-friendly holiday option. Seriously, you can have a perfect vacay for very good value over here, take it from me. If you are keen on finding out about my favourite beaches, bars and restaurants, feel free to send me a message. I will happily share them with you 🙂

As for the outfit, I am wearing a striped little shirtdress by Sienna. How cute is the knot detail on the waist? I feel like the dress itself might be a tad too big on me, but it is easily adjustable by cinching in the waist a little with the knot tie.

In other news: I’ve found the perfect summer shoe! I was looking for an easy option for a long time, one that was comfortable enough to frolick around on, but also provided a little extra height which is always welcome for petites like me. I found it in this Kanna espadrille wedge at Omoda. They come in a few different color options, and are seriously the best to walk on. I wore them out to dinner multiple times, each time having to walk up and down steep Cretan roads, and none of theme proved to be a challenge for these babies. Very happy with them!
