Beauty. For those last moments of 2013, I’d say soak in the shimmer, turn up the tinsel and go for the glitter! As the year comes to an end, here are the beauty picks that get a golden medallion from me.

Manifesto by Yves Saint Laurent is, according to its advertisement ‘the signature of a new declaration of femininity’. All I can say is that it’s my favourite scent of 2013 – and will be for 2014 as well. It’s light and fresh, but with a multitude of dimensions to it. You should try for yourself if you happen to come across it!

The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, a multipurpose dry oil, is perfect to create a lovely shimmer on legs, chest and arms, and can also be used to soften and nourish your locks.

The colours of this Collector 2 eye shadow palette work amazingly well to create a soft metallic look, but can also be used wet for a more vibrant eyelid. The shadow stays on all night and I’m just head over heels with its beautiful packaging.

We were all wishing for a white Christmas, but isn’t it lovely to wave goodbye to the passing year with a healthy sun kissed glow on your face? Unless you celebrated the birth of baby Jesus on a tropical island, it’s most probable you’ll benefit from a good self-tanning product to reach that sun kissed goal.
