My Remedy for Dry Skin in Winter

I’ve always been pretty vocal about the fact that I am “blessed” with dry skin. It’s been this way for as long as I can remember, especially when Winter kicks in and it starts to get colder. My lips get flakey, I get dry patches on my forehead, … It’s been through trial and error that I found that the best solution for my dry skin is sticking to a routine. After a lot of testing out different products and brand, I seem to have found the right fit for me and my skin. Read along to learn about my daily skin routine…

I start off my skin care routine with a good cleaner. I use the Bioderma Sensible H2O – which is basically the holy grail of micellair waters – to clean my face, after which I go in with my Clarisonic brush (I use the cashmere brush head made for sensitive skin). After a 1-minute cleanse, I indulge my skin in complete luxury with the La Mer Revitalizing Serum which I’ll tell you more about in detail pretty soon.

Next up is the Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Crème, which is basically a wave of water splashing in your face! It makes my skin feel so hydrated and nourishes, without being greasy at all. I alternate between the Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Crème and the Hydrabio Crème, which is richer in texture and is the perfect thirst quencher for seriously dehydrated skin. I also use this one right before going to bed to feed my skin all through the night.

After applying my make-up I add a dot of the Bioderma Hydrabio Lip Recovery onto my lips to keep them moisturized and plump. I make sure to take this little one with me when I head out the door for some instant thirst-quenching whenever it’s needed.

What are your holy grails when it comes to taking care of your skin in Winter?
