Hi guys! Welcome to a new episode of The Sporadic Blogger: Elien. I know, I know, things are Quiet around here, but I do still love dropping in here every now and then to share some pictures and some ramblings.

Let’s see what I need to catch you guys up on… Where to start? The past week has been spend inside the house, or inside the spare bedroom to be exact, as I was tested positive for covid and ‘suffered’ from all of the symptoms. As to not spread the virus any further, I locked myself in the spare bedroom and slept for what seemed to be days and days on end. I was actually really ill and couldn’t walk around for more than 10 minutes without begging to head back to bed again, but thankfully I’m feeling much better again. I have yet to go out and enjoy my first drink on a terrace (will do that later tonight) ut I’m so happy I’m feeling like my old self again. I hope you’re all feeling healthy and happy and you haven’t been struck by the covid bug – so be cautious and stay safe!

In other, non-Covid related news, I have braces! I have them in on these pictures (I need to wear them 22 hours a day) and I still need to get used to the way my face looks when wearing them, buuuuut I actually don’t mind them as much as I thought I would. I’m only on week 3 of 28 though and I haven’t been out for dinner, so my feelings might still change, but let’s focus on the positive for now 🙂 I have Invisalign mainly to fix a few wonky bottom teeth and I had my wisdom teeth removed prior to make space for everything to settle correctly. It is a bit of a struggle, the retainers, seeing as you can only take them out to consume food or beverages that aren’t water, so you can imagine I’ve cut back extremely on my daily coffee and tea intake – my snacking is also at an all-time low, which is good, but now I tend to completely stuff my face in the 2-hour window in which I càn eat. To be continued!
