[dropcap_large]L[/dropcap_large]es Sources de Caudalie is an enchanting hotel and spa, the perfect personification of the brand Caudalie. One of my personal skincare favorites for years now, Caudalie is a brand that prides itself on the use of natural and effective ingredients, with the grape as main component. The story of Caudalie began in the heart of the vines at Château Smith Haut Lafitte, a wonderful domain located in Martillac, Bordeaux. It is in that same spot that the founders of the brand opened Les Sources de Caudalie, a breathtaking hotel and spa that is created to unwind and relax. The specialist treatments, performed by leading Vinotherapists as they are called, are an indulgent and rejuvenating experience away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Of course I had to experience all of this for myself, so we parked our camper for the day and dove head first into the enchanting world of Caudalie.

We arrived on a somewhat rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute of our Caudalie experience. After a few hours of relaxing in the spa (hot tub, swimming pool, hammam, …) we satisfied our appetites at La Table du Lavoir, a picturesque restaurant that serves fine food and amazing wines from the vineyard right across from it. After having enjoyed our lunch to the fullest, we crossed the street into the wine cellars of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Having learned about the process of how wine is made, with the amount of craftsmanship and passion that goes into it, it tasted even better!

We had a wonderful day spent at the amazing Les Sources de Caudalie domain, and I can’t wait to visit the place again somewhere in the future!
