I’m still buzzing from yesterday’s babyshower which my lovely girlfriends threw for me and lil’ egg – the entire day turned out to be a wonderful get-together with my closest friends and family, aka the best aunties (and grandmothers) our daughter could wish for!
The event location du jour was the wonderfully private and secluded city garden of Murni Antwerp, one of my favourite spots in the South. My best friend Maïté arranged the cutest decoration (a huge BABY sign filled with balloons, cute napkins, personalised table settings…. this girl!) and the venue was the perfect backdrop to have all of my girlfriends around!
Have a look at my girlfriends, me and my swollen ankles Of course they hàd to make an appearance as well! In terms of outfit I went all out! I had a shoot for Flair earlier that day so my make-up was done by a pro (more on that later) so I decided to also dress the part. Disclaimer: the babyshower wasn’t a complete surprise, as my middle name is IN-CONTROL-OF-THINGS, so trying to surprise me is somewhat of a mission impossible. I knew when and where I was expected, so I showed up – in this very pink, very girly, very ostrich-y yet baby shower-proof dress!
I think it’s sold out in the pale pink color I am wearing, but you may want to get yourself this lilac version.
Of course I had to arrange a little something-something from my side as well, to celebrate and thank all of the amazing ladies in my life *aaah getting sentimental*. So I teamed up with the best team at Estée Lauder to select a few of my all-time favourite products to put in gift bags. Think Jo Malone perfume and candle, Origins avocado face mask, Bobbi Brown highlighter palette, an Estée Lauder eye cream (which comes in handy for sleepless nights) and a Clinique eyelash serum. I love being thrown a party, but I love giving even more, so I was very grateful I got to do this. Thank you Estée Lauder team, you girls are the best!
