Life with Lewis #1

We’re almost celebrating Lewis’ first month in team Dogs and Dresses, so I thought it would be fun to share some snapshots and pictures of Lewlew.

Turns out life with Lewis is even better than I thought it would be. When I first met him I thought he was a very friendly dog, but then again, have I ever met a Golden Retriever I didn’t like? But the more I got to know him better, the more I learnt that he is so much more than just a friendly dog. The first few days, Lewis (who then still had to learn his new name) was super calm and quiet, and probably a bit frightened as well. From day one I took him everywhere I went, to meetings, to coffee dates and of course on long walks. I wanted us to get to know each other, so that he learnt he could trust me. I immediately tried to set boundaries and restrictions, because I’m the leader of the pack around here alright?! 🙂

A few weeks later and Lewis has bloomed into the dog he was meant to be: a friendly, social, happy pup of almost 14 months! I love how his tail shakes whenever I get home from work, how he makes me proud when being nice to other dogs, children, and his teddybears and how we can both really enjoy chilling with each other in front of the tv (he likes to watch Cesar Milan and also the Zalando commercial).

Seeing that Lewis is slowly but surely becoming the star of this blog, he already received his own press mails. A big box full of goodies landed on our doorstep, this time not with my name on it but Lewis’ 😉

prezzies for Lewis! Thanks Vitakraft and Beaphar.

Some of the contents of the box: Doggy 2-in-1 shampoo + dry shampoo which comes in handy for this snow whitey who liked to roll around in mud pretending he’s a piggy.

I’m leaving for a week-long (work) holiday and even though we’re traveling to a crazy exotic location, I am sooo sad to be leaving Lewis behind! But I leave him in the good hands of mommy, who is already so in love with him, so he’ll be taken good care off.

More Lewis love coming soon, first I have to convince myself that I can miss that chubby little puppy face for a whole week!
