The most wonderful time of the year, spent at the most wonderful city there is: no better time to visit London than during the holidays! The Primark press trip had me wondering the streets of The City in the early hours, soaking up a massive dose of true Christmas spirit and resting my head onto the softest pillows of one of London’s fanciest hotels. A well-documented photo report is in order!

The Hotel

Hotel Café Royal, located on the majestic Regent Street. This amazing hotel from 1865 oozes the grandeur of past times, but is stylish and modern at the same time. The perfect The luxurious bath room was most definitely my favourite spot in the room: all-over marble, a walk-in rain shower and a build-in tv screen into the mirror = I can roll with that. Just look at that bath room, and it will come as no surprise that the first thing I did upon entering the room was taking a long, hot bath (and a cold rain shower right after!).

The Bathroom

Yep, I had to dedicate a category to the bathroom, but can you blame me? 😉

The Dinner

After freshening up from our trip by Eurostar, I met up with the girls from Elle and Flair for an elaborate evening dinner. We sat down at Ten Room, the classy restaurant that houses within the hotel. I needed to google about 75% of the dishes on the menu, but I was so happy with my choice of food! Salmon and champagne as a starter, sea bass and prawns as the main and a little something calles ’emphasis on mandarine’ to end the night. So full, so yummy! The restaurant is definitely a recommendation. After getting back in from the late-night dinner, I was welcomed in my room by the softest bath slippers, a big bath robe and a Does This Work pillow spray to guarantee sweet dreams. It worked!

The Morning

I love an early morning stroll around the city – walking around when it’s still dark, soaking up the jolly holiday spirit and of course getting some necesarry shopping done. I dropped by Boots to stock up on my Benefit beauty stash and walked into Whole Foods to sooth my granola fix 😉 next stop: the breakfast table! I ordered a plate of granola with banana and super yummy french toast with berries. Oh dear, breakfast is my favourite part of the day, and the hotel sure did its best to satisfy my breakfast cravings! All energized and good to go for the rest of the day…

The Event

Of course there was still some work to be done 😉 We took a cab to the event venue for the Primark Spring Collection, and up above are a few of the pieces that really stood out for me! I’ll be keeping my eyes open… Read all about the Primark event in this post.

The Lunch

The words ‘Mexican Food’ had us determinately noding our heads, so we ended up in this little place called La Bodega Negra (16 Moor Street). Nachos, tacos, buritos, the whole enchilada 😉 I said yes to the chicken quesadillas and they were yuuuummmyyyy. Such a good tip for a budget friendly lunch option when you’re around! Check out their menu here.

The End

Our time in London flew by – but I had a blast! From discovering all the new collections at Primark to shopping my face off, it was such a wonderful visit. We sure did our best while shopping at Primark, as you can see in the picture above 😉 Thanks to the Belgian Primark press team for the fabulous invite. xoxo.

wat een superleuke post! Ik sliep ook eens in dat hotel, dat bad inderdaad, first on the list ;-). Maar ik vond dat zo raar dat ze voor het slapengaan u kamer kwamen op ruimen. Mijn kleding was all over the place en erna zo netjes opgeplooid. :p
